darkroom demons is beyond just being another photoblog. Creative partners Tyler Curtis and Matt Reeves worked diligently to become two photographers who operate outside of the box for the mainstream clients with a singular vision focused on fashion, music, nightlife, and branding. Founded in 2007, they were honored in 2008 in GenArt and Acura’s national “We are the Night” campaign as 2 “photographers to watch.” Their fine artwork photography has toured from coast to coast and also been featured by Formatmag.com, Green Label Sound Records, Alkaline Trio, StudioBooth and Microsoft and in the Kid Dangerous clothing lines found at boutiques and major retailers like Nordstrom's (with their 2nd graphic tee line debuting in late 2012).

Their unique photography has been seen in over 30 national PRINT publications including: USA Today, Vogue, Paper Magazine, Nylon Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Fader Magazine, AP Magazine, SPIN, BPM, Kerrang! (UK), XL8RTR, GQ, Men’s Vogue, Hello!, Us Weekly, InTouch Weekly, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune (MetroMix), Modern Luxury (CS), Chicago Magazine, Chicago Scene Magazine, Image Chicago Magazine, Nightclub and Bar Magazine, Michigan Ave and a constant feature with Time-Out Chicago. The duo were exceptionally visible during their residency as the shooters for the Sun-Times's "Susanna's Night Out" from 2006-2009.

Fun facts: Matt has made multiple fruitful journeys to Europe and Japan, with the bragging rights of capturing Lady Gaga on 3 continents. In the summer of 2011, Tyler invaded the White House at the end of his month long tour alongside Manchester United Football Club.

Clients in 2011 included TopShop, Aon, Chivas Regal, Sprint, IGN, Hilton Hotel Group, The Ritz-Carlton and Four-Seasons, Best Buy, Atlantic Records, Playboy, Absolut, Pernod-Ricard USA and more.

Beyond the lens, they have been spotted on the hosting committees for the Modern Wing Gala, the SAIC Fashion Walk (2009-2010) and Kohl's Children's Museum (2011) as well as donating services to local cancer and human-rights charities, as well as future forward organizations like TEDxMidwest.

Luck and a smidgen of talent has earned some sort of reputation that puts them in front of everyone and anyone without any drama. They always know how lucky they are to have two of the coolest jobs on the planet.

2012 will send their cameras to Barcelona, Paris, London, NY, LA and the Far East.
